Barrel Aged Tropical Stout
A lager yeast fermented export oatmeal stout aged in both Rum and Tequila barrels. Each beer has taken on the character of the spirit and influence from the American oak barrels.
Rum BA - As expected the Rum barrel has added sweet caramels and a hint of molasses which beautifully complements the rich chocolate flavour of the base beer, for a super rich beer with a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Luxuriously good.
Tequila BA - The tequila barrel has added a bright spirit character with a fruity freshness, contrasting with the rich chocolate from the original beer and soft vanilla notes from the oak barrels used to store it - reminiscent of a boozy chocolate truffle.
