Plan Your Visit
Everything you need to know about visiting the Runway Brewery, including the Taproom, Beer Garden, Brewery Tours and Bottle Shop.
Despite the lifting of restrictions, we continue to operate a COVID aware venue which requires co-operation between our staff and visitors to ensure we can provide a safe, relaxed and enjoyable environment for everybody during your visit.
This includes limiting our opening hours and capacity, managing circulation, respecting social distancing where possible, contactless payment, table service and site specific hygiene measures.
If you are unwell, have been in contact with anyone suffering from Coronavirus symptoms, or have been asked to self-isolate, please stay at home, get well, and we'll see you soon!
Please ensure you share this information with everyone in your group.
Visiting The Taproom & Beer Garden
Open: Saturdays 14:00 - 19:30
We operate table service for draught and bottled beer, as well as beer snacks and sodas for you to enjoy on site, or to take away.
We operate a Challenge 25 policy, so if you're lucky enough to look under 25 years old, please bring suitable ID.
Track & Trace
On arrival, you will have the chance to scan into our venue using the NHS Track and Trace App or provide full contact details in accordance with government guidance.
Do I Have To Book, Or Can I Walk Up?
We are operating indoors as well as outside, so have plenty of space. We no longer offer table bookings so feel free to visit at a time that suits you and stay as long as you like.
We are operating as a card only venue and will encourage contactless payments as far as possible - so no cash at the moment (sorry).
Toilets & Facilities
Our all toilet facilities are located inside the brewery - we'd appreciate it if you could wear your face covering when moving around indoors and using these facilities.
Our WCs will be managed to promote hygiene and social distancing.
Unfortunately, we do not have accessible toilets or baby changing facilities at the brewery.
Visiting With Pets & Children
Children are welcome but need to remain seated with you during your visit.
Dogs are welcome but must remain outside in the Beer Garden, on a lead and supervised at all times.
When visiting the brewery, please be aware that you will be asked to:
- Respect personal space and maintain an awareness of personal space with other groups / visitors
- We'd like you to wear a face covering when moving around indoors and using the toilet facilities if you are able to do so
- Avoid moving tables and chairs
- Enjoy your beer!
Thanks for reading. We hope to see you soon!
You must be 18 or over. We operate a challenge 25 policy, so if you're lucky enough to look younger than that, please be aware that you may be asked for ID.
Brewery tours are limited to 16 people per session and last approx. 90 minutes.
After your tour
The Runaway taproom, which overlooks the brewery, is open from 14:00 until 19:30 every Saturday. Feel free to stay on for a beer or two afterwards. We also sell bottles to take away and brewery t-shirts to remember your day.
Location, Brewery Environment and Accessibility
Our brewery is located in an industrial unit, within a small industrial area, and is primarily a production facility. As such there's lots of brewing equipment, chemicals, wet floors and hot surfaces - think of it as a factory - so please respect that during your visit and come appropriately dressed (e.g. avoid high heels and open toe shoes/sandals). The brewery building is not heated so may be a little chilly at cooler times of the year.
Our bar is situated on a mezzanine level over looking the brewery, which can only be accessed via stairs. However, we have a seating area on the ground floor, and offer table service.
The brewery itself is also situated over different levels with stepped access, though there is level access to both parts of the brewery from either end of the railway arch. There are areas of uneven floors within the brewery.
Young children and animals will not be allowed in the brewery.
Please advise of any special requirements prior to your visit and we'll do our best to assist you.
Parking & Transport
There is no parking at the brewery. But who needs a car when you're coming to a brewery?
The brewery is only 5 minutes walk from Victoria Station and Shudehill Interchange (bus and tram).
Our near neighbours Popup Bikes are located at Arch 4 on Corporation Street and provide secure bike parking on Saturdays (closed Sunday). We also have limited space for bike parking in the yard at the brewery (bikes left at owners risk).
Tickets for Tours
You will need to download your ticket(s) at the end of the checkout process. Please bring either a printed ticket, or digital equivalent with you in order to check in on the day.
Changing Dates and Transferring Tickets
Please contact us if you wish to change the date of your tour. This is usually only possible if there is space on another tour.
Cancellations & RefundsTickets are refundable up to 7 days in advance of the tour (minus booking fee).
