Blend #2 - Bretted Farmhouse Ale
Delicate and complex, this dry, funky & fruity blend of Burgundy wine barrel fermented, UK hopped saisons, was dry hopped with Styrian Wolf after blending, before being re-conditoning in bottle.
Funky, vinous notes are balanced beautifully with soft bitterness and a distinctive lemon peel & herbal character from the Slovenian hops. Although super dry and subtly spiced, the beer contains minimal acidity thanks in part to the aged hops added to the barrel during fermentation.
The second in a series of blended, wine barrel fermented beers, produced at our brewery here in central Manchester. A beer to be enjoyed by itself, or accompanying food.
